
What is your role at Johnson Insurance? As the Executive Administrative Assistant I act has the primary point of contact between team members and clients. Undertaking the tasks of receiving calls, taking messages, routing correspondence, scheduling appointments and assist in the preparation of appointments and customer service requests. If I can take care of the day-to-day tasks, then that allows others to focus on their responsibilities.
What makes you proud to work at Johnson Insurance? Their commitment to their clients.
How does the organization support your professional development and career growth? There is always a video to watch, a meeting to hold, or a training to attend. In the insurance and financial industries things are always changing - staying up-to-date on procedures or techniques is important not only for the client but also for our organization. The more we can grow and learn, the better we will be as a company and personally in our own growth and success.
Is risk-taking encouraged, and what happens when people fail? Risk-taking is absolutely encouraged. It's not failing if you learn from it. Mistakes allow for growth and understanding.

What do you find the most challenging at Johnson Insurance?
Being an independent agency is a wonderful thing because it allows us to work with many different companies to find the best option for our clients, however, it creates many different programs, websites and contacts to learn. Between the property casualty and financial services world there isn't one location for an answer, so you have to know where to go to find what you are looking for.
What do you like the most about Johnson Insurance?
The flexibility within the company.
What drew you to Johnson Insurance originally? And how has Johnson Insurance changed since? The structure and culture that Johnson Insurance has. Everyone has a role, and everyone is supportive of one another. Since the start of my first day this still holds true, and something I appreciate.
What has been your favorite project at Johnson Insurance? Cleaning and organizing the filing and supply room. It was a bit of a mess when I first got here. Since I spend the most time there I took it upon myself to create the right space.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work? My drive to help others. Whether it be a client or a team member. Also, knowing that I am supporting my family.
What does your workspace look like? I add my own flare for decorations because I want it to represent me and my personality. But it's also neat and tidy. I don't like a messy desk.
What core value means the most to you and why? Always Do What Is Right - If you treat others with respect and kindness and do it right the first time you never have to worry. It's a simple concept but very few do it.
What initially drew you to Johnson Insurance? Being apart of a team that cares about their community, the staff and their clients. The flexibility of working in town is always a bonus.
How are employees empowered to help shape or participate in the office culture? Johnson Insurance has a set of core values that they study and practice every week. It is not a slogan or an idea, but rather a way of professional and personal life. This helps build the culture and encourages everyone to be who they are, but also strive to improve, understand, and go the extra mile in all aspects.
If you could drink one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be? A bottle of Malbec. I don't like beer :)
