
What is my role at Johnson Insurance? And how does my role play a factor in the success of the company? My role is taking some of the load off Greg’s plate by helping him review client accounts and make recommendations for those clients. Along with that I’m also responsible for bringing on new clients to Johnson Insurance. At some point in the future, I hope my role is to also mentor or manage new advisors as we continue to grow.
What do I most like about my job? No day is the same, every day is different, and I really enjoy working with clients to help better their financial situation.
What motivates me to wake up and go to work? To help my current and future clients make better decisions on investing money for retirement.
What advice would I give to new hires? Stick with it. There are going to good days and bad days. The early years are going to be tough, but if you put your nose down and do what’s needed, you’ll be fine in the long run. Also, find a mentor outside of your organization you can chat with once and a while.
What makes me proud to work at Johnson Insurance? They fact that we have a team of great people to work with and everyone is always willing help in whatever way they can.
How has Johnson Insurance helped me in my career development? They push me to be a better advisor and I’m not sure I would have passed my last exam without that push or motivation from them.
What do I like to do in my spare time? Spend time with my family and friends, play golf and if there is time watch some sports. Our family really likes to go on bike rides now that girls are off training wheels.
Biggest pet peeve? Being late. There is just no excuse for it.
Favorite meal? Ribeye Steak-seared (medium rare), creamed potatoes, asparagus, caesar salad and good glass of wine.
If you could learn do anything, what would it be? That’s a tough one. It would be either speak another language or learn Martial Arts.
First concert attended? Alabama at the Dubuque County Fair. I believe it was back in 1985-86, not 100% sure. It was a long time ago.
If I could witness any historical event, what would you want see? The signing of the declaration of independence. It’s what our country is based on and one of the most historical moments in our country’s history, if not the most important.
